He is the first Moroccan watchmaker in history. Fouad Zrhari examines, identifies symptoms and repairs watches that show weaknesses. But the craftsman-watchmaker has also created a buzz in Morocco with his own brand, Elaqsa.

His profession as a watchmaker was the fruit of love at first sight. Love at first sight for a watch seen in a Zurich window. “I got stuck in front of this watch with its apparent mechanism. At that time, I knew that I would evolve in this world, no matter how,” recalls Fouad Zrhari. A few years later, he joined a training course in Besançon, before applying to Geneva, at the heart of the Franck Muller brand. And how luck does things well... The final test to join the prestigious house was the disassembly and reassembly of the love at first sight watch, discovered two years earlier. After four years with this brand, Fouad Zrhari completes his experience at Roger Dubuis, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Rolex. “I had done the trick…”, he underlines. And then suddenly, it clicks.
